The Manchester vegan scene is booming, with more and more vegan restaurants popping up each year. But if you travel just half an hour out of the city centre you’ll find yourself in the quaint little village, Hale. Nestled in a quiet corner of Hale village is the most beautiful vegan and organic restaurant – The Garden Hale. From granola bowls to loaded vegan nachos, their eclectic menu has something for everyone – even meat eaters.
What is The Garden Hale?
The Garden is an organic restaurant in the heart of Hale village serving healthy, earth-friendly food. Each one of their dishes has been carefully curated to nourish your body, using local, organic and seasonal ingredients.
What’s on the menu?
The Garden Hale offers an incredibly diverse menu. From delicious, nutritious breakfasts to an eclectic drinks menu – everyoneis sure to find something tasty to eat from this menu. Not only are a good selection of their dishes gluten free, but they even have non-vegan options on the menu, so even your most carnivorous friends will jump at the chance of a date at The Garden.
My personal favourite item on the menu is their Pitaya Pancake. The gluten free, vegan, refined sugar free pancake is delicious.
Served with seasonal berries, banana, cacao spread (guilt-free nutella) and pitaya cashew cream, this are the ultimate healthy indulgence. But at £8, it’s certainly not a cheap brunch date – especially when the drinks average at around £4 each!
Another menu item worth mentioning is their loaded nachos. The gluten free, vegan corn tortillas are loaded with refried black beans, guacamole salsa, coriander, jalapeños and paprika cashew cheese. If you’re fancying a little vegan junk food but without all of the guilt, then this is the dish for you. Made for sharing (yeah, right), these nachos are the perfect treat. But again, at £9, this dish is certainly more of a payday treat.
