I must say; doing a product review of ice cream is INCREDIBLY hard. Having to taste loads of different Booja Booja vegan ice cream made from all-natural ingredients? TERRIBLE.
Booja Booja ice creams are multi-award winning dairy free ice creams available in an array of deliciously different flavours. Each flavour is made up of a handful of natural ingredients, the main ingredients being water, Cashew Nuts & Agave syrup. As someone who’s not had ice cream for around 10 years, stumbling upon Booja Booja products has quite literally changed my life.
For this review, I sampled the ‘Hunky-Punky Chocolate’, ‘Raspberry Ripple’, ‘Chocolate Salted Caramel’ and the ‘Caramel Pecan Praline’… picking a favourite was definitely a challenge as they’re all, quite simply- delicious!
WARNING: Excellent self control must be practiced around these ice creams!
4. Chocolate Salted Caramel
THIS FLAVOUR IS INCREDIBLE. My tastebuds were greeted by the perfect blend of salted caramel and chocolate flavours- the swirls of chocolate salted caramel sauce that were hidden throughout each bite gave the perfect blend of chocolate and salted caramel- a definite indulgence.
3. Raspberry Ripple
This flavour is absolutely divine. The flavour of the freeze-dried raspberries swirled throughout the creamy vanilla base was even better than you’d expect. Not too sweet and not too creamy, this new Booja Booja flavour is incredible- you could even eat it for breakfast if you’re an absolute renegade.
2. Hunky Punky Chocolate
If you love chocolate, Hunky Punky chocolate is for you. It is the most creamy and chocolatey thing I think I’ve ever put into my mouth. Seriously more-ish, I always
make sure I have a tub in my freezer.
Caramel Pecan Praline
I don’t even know where to start with describing this flavour. It’s sweet, but no
t too sweet; Savoury; but only a hint. It’s incredible. Just incredible. This flavour is probably for the more refined palette, it just seems a little posh to me. As long as you eat it with your little finger sticking up from your spoon, you’re doing it right.
